Our Mission
Our mission for being is to help High School age individuals become educated and productive citizens that will evolve into role models and leaders in their respective communities or in the world at large.
Our Vision
The Believe to Achieve Mentoring Program, Inc. is a mentoring, educational, and career guidance program that serve at risk students who are in or who should be in the High School levels of 9th through 12th grades, and students who have been out of High School for 2 years or less, or pending transfer. We envision improving the society in which we live, work and play by transforming  the lives and making a positive impact on high school age persons annually.

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed,but not in despair; but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

OUR GOALS

​

-To serve the educational and self-development needs of High School age individuals in Columbus County NC and various states, as deemed necessary.

​

-Assist students in the discovery and interpersonal, development of the whole self-Spiritual, Mental and Physical.

​

-To educate students about social etiquette, banking, saving, grooming, and implement strategies and programs that will enhance the well being of our target population and transform their lives into a positive and independent manner.



-Show students how to contact College admissions department, take them on college tours, apply for financial assistance, write resumes, job interview skills, and how to use the internet as a tool for research for example NCAA Clearinghouse etc.

-Provide education and career counseling.

​

-Promote and teach the importance of obtaining a good education and pursuing a skilled trade and/or college degree after high school.

​

-Provide tutoring and mentoring to the population we serve by encouraging and providing resource information.

​

-Refer students to other organizations who may need additional assistance for example: psychological, legal and other extreme social issues.

​

-We also have also have a Community Basketball Team (B.A.M. Bomb Squad) and Praise Team to provide positive incentive for our high school age students.

​

It costs $30,000 to $50,000 per year to send someone to jail. You don't have to pay so much to send someone to school at John Hopkins.
